Hello Pines Neighbor!

The condos at The Pines of Oak Lawn are planning a Community Garage Sale on

Sunday, June 14th from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

To make this event enjoyable and accessible for everyone, we’ll be using a combination of garage spaces and our shared courtyard:

  • Courtyard Selling Area: Residents without garages (or those who prefer a central spot) are invited to set up in the courtyard. Please bring your own tables, chairs, and setup materials.

  • Garage Sales: Residents with garages are welcome to sell from within or directly in front of their garage space.

Important Guidelines:

  • Please keep all sale items within your garage space or designated courtyard area.

  • Do not block drive lanes, sidewalks, or parking spaces.

  • Parking areas must remain open for residents at all times.

  • Shoppers will be encouraged to park on nearby streets and walk through the sale

Before the Sale:

  • Go through closets, storage areas, garages, and cabinets ahead of time.

  • Group similar items together (kitchen items, toys, clothes, holiday, tools, etc).

  • Test electronics and include batteries or cords if possible.

  • Have some plants you’d like to share or sell? Make a few cuttings and wrap them in wet paper towels.

  • Do you make amazing brownies or cupcakes? Homemade baked goods are always appreciated! 

  • How about those cute crafts you make?! You could sell those too!

Pricing Tips:

  • Price items clearly using stickers or masking tape.

  • Consider using round numbers for easier transactions.

  • Keep a small container or envelope with cash and coins for change.

  • Venmo/Zelle signs can also be helpful if you accept digital payments.

Please plan to remove all remaining items at the end of the sale. Consider donating usable items to a local charity afterward.

We are also asking our Austin Ave neighbors to host their own garage sales on that day so it will be a block-long sale!

Most importantly, have fun and meet your neighbors! Community sales are a great way to clean out, connect, and enjoy the neighborhood together.
